Vienna

With around two million residents (2.9 million within the metropolitan region, nearly one-third of the country’s population), Vienna is Austria’s most populous city and primate city, as well as its cultural, economic, and political hub. It is the sixth-biggest city proper in the European Union by population and the largest of all Danube river cities.

Furthermore, Vienna has been dubbed the “City of Music” due to its musical tradition, as it was home to many notable classical musicians such as Beethoven and Mozart. Vienna’s historic center is rich in architectural ensembles, including Baroque palaces and gardens, as well as the late-nineteenth-century Ringstraße, which is flanked with large buildings, monuments, and parks.
